<image:title>Meet Blake | The Prodigal Pooch Lead Trainer Atlanta - Hi! My name is Blake.</image:title>
<image:caption>Blake is the Owner and Lead Trainer of the Prodigal Pooch in Defuniak Springs, Florida (previously in Atlanta, GA). He grew up with a strong love of animals. His mom said that in their house every family dog would quickly favor Blake. He would in turn care for, train and have a special bond with each dog that came through their doors. Because of this, Blake pursued a career as a veterinarian. He worked as a kennel assistant and a veterinary technician in many veterinary hospitals, and everywhere he went he saw anxious, stressed out dogs with unwanted behaviors and owners at the end of their rope. Blake saw just how many dogs struggled with their behaviors and the impact it had on the dog’s quality of life and their owners. This deepened Blake’s passion for dog training and enhancing the relationship between owner and dog. His focus turned from Vet School to dog training. After turning to books, educational videos, and several dog-training seminars he was still missing pieces of the training puzzle. After much research, Blake applied and was accepted to the renowned National K-9 School for Dog Trainers in Columbus, Ohio (we like to call it the Harvard of dog schools). He graduated from the Master Trainers course and became certified as a Professional Dog Trainer. Blake founded The Prodigal Pooch in 2018 and has since gone on to train hundreds of dogs and their families at The Prodigal Pooch in Atlants GA. In 2024, The Prodigal Pooch relocated from Georgia to Florida, but we are proud to train dogs from all areas and states! Blake runs The Prodigal Pooch with his wife Kelly and their two dogs Swell (pictured) and Woods. Book a session with Blake ➝</image:caption>

<image:caption>A friend connected me to Blake with the Prodigal Pooch, and it has changed everything. Blake has shifted our relationship with Echo and given us tools to be Echo's leaders rather than constantly reacting to his behavior. I did not want to be one of those people getting dragged up and down the sidewalk by my dog while he lunges and barks at squirrels and other dogs. Nor did I want people walking by to think we had "one of those crazy dogs" that acts like he might eat you if you walk too close to our fence. Blake works with the dogs at his home, then brings them back to you and shows you exactly what you need to do to establish yourself as in control. Of course, it takes practice at home, but Blake encourages you to check in with him; and he is so responsive to questions and concerns. Blake also offers Saturday sessions and follow up sessions to check your dog's progress.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Blake just dropped off my 9-month pup Archer after a two-week board and train program. From start to finish, the process could not have been easier, nor could I be happier with the results. The evaluation was very helpful in understanding what to expect from the training, and upon completion of the program, Archer had met or exceeded my expectations. Blake was very patient with both Archer and myself, and his "training" of me is appreciated for the coming years with my pup. I also loved the frequent updates during the training so I could follow along while I was out of town. I could not be happier with the results and cannot wait to show off my Prodigal Pooch!</image:caption>

<image:caption>Absolutely in awe of the changes both my pups have shown after being trained with them. We couldn’t be happier with the level of expertise and guidance that comes from Blake. This guy is top notch! I was hesitant to hire someone but I heard such good things about Prodigal Pooch that we decided to hand over our babies and have faith. Upon their return, Blake took his time to help educate us & answer all our questions. I wouldn’t go to anyone else. This is your guy!</image:caption>
